After listening to this, I can see why many people dislike metalcore. This album is really
freaking technical but isn't bloated. I would listen to this over any BTBAM album honestly.

More post voice change. I think I have just listened to so much Metallica I got tired of his voice,
from Kill 'Em All to Death Magnetic.

Also, the mixing in this album destroys anything I have heard from Metallica. I didn't realize how
badly bloated the bass was in Metallica albums.

Hetfield WAS the premier thrash vocalist and lead guitar in the 80´s, no doubt. But after he began all his HEY and YEAAAAHHH he went downhill pretty fast.

And Dawn Patrol is supposed (according to Mustaine) to sound like a mole-man (someone that lives underground after a nuclear disaster. I FUCKING love it.

The bass in this album is so beautiful, btw.

Post-'91 hetfield is verbal diarrhea. He was solid on Black Album still; granted it was very processed and he couldn't match it live.
