it should probably be a 'guilty pleasure' or something for me but it's just a well-written song so i dont care. each section is so good, the verses are just the right amount of creepy, the choruses are dark and hit really hard (plus the chord progression is a total surprise imo, takes turns you dont expect), and the last section kicks absolute ass.

oh yeah totally, it has this jam-band thing going with the guitar noodling and a calm fadeout seems like the next logical step, and then suddenly BAM and whoosh and then i hit replay

surely. they kicked ass doing a more simple emo style, but with this album, they launched this whole (hate hate hate HATE this prefix but) prog thing and really stepped up their game, which is pretty much awesomely admirable when they couldve just made "what it is to burn" a thousand times over. plus, this is one of the FEW bands that carried over from my young age that i still like, and that's something else.

Demo on their myspace sounds ok, bit repetitive but i'm liking the sound. Interested to hear new album.

I don't get all the Glassjaw comparisons. He's dry humping Mike Patton if anything on this record, I mean the entire breakdown in Revelation Song is pretty much lifted right out of "Caffeine" from Angel Dust. Album still slays though.

Did anyone rip the new demos by chance? Haven't heard them yet.

I have the Japan-only live album they put out if anyone wants it. Has songs from all of their releases including the Finch EP and it's awesome and completely unedited unlike a lot of live records.
