also depends on how well versed in this type of massive music you are - you cant listen to a huge symphony for the first time and expect to love it if you are used to 5 min songs with verse chorus structure (not saying you are btw)

Definitely true. My ex has never listened to any song over 7 minutes minus one song, nothing but Celtic/Indie Pop music and she was in awe of Godspeed's work the first time she listened.

Yeah, she's studying art history so she had an appreciation for art in general to give anything a proper go. Honestly minus a few people I could recommend something from this band to anyone.
