Dudeeeee how can you not include 'South of Heaven' on that list?
Pretty good list though

i actually love South of Heaven, but i think that it sounds somewhat liek Dead Skin mask. Seeing as i like DSM more than SOH , i put it on instead of SoH
|
| |
The best tracks off of Christ Illusion areFlesh Storm, Cult, Jihad, and Catalyst

this record is amazing, yet i dont believe it is up to standers with my favorites from slayer

"Dead Skin Mask" sounds like "South of Heaven" because "South of Heaven" came out first ;)

Actually, I believe this record marked the entrance of Paul Bostaph into the band, who's skills are no where near what Dave Lombardo had done on the first records.
Are you insane? I'm a big a fan of Lombardo as anyone but to say Bostaph's work on Divine Intervention doesn;t compare is rubbish. He obviously felt some pressure following a legend like Lombardo but he more than succeeded. The drums on this album are far more complex than anything Lombardo did with Slayer.
And Bostaph nailed every single one of Dave's beats live.

| |
true, but seeing as Lombardo influences Bostaph through all of his Slayer work, i truly believe that Lombardo surpasses bostaph easily
|
| |
but you also have to look at lombardos current work on Christ illusion. Does that overshadow Bostaphs work in your oppinion?

Paul is an amazing drummer, but I've always felt that Lombardo was better.
And Lombardo's best work is easily on "South of Heaven", with "Christ Illusion" being second. The fills he does on "Live Undead" are just sick!

I haven't heard it - and to be honest I'm in no rush to.
The fact remains that the drum work on Divine Intervention is far more complex than any other Slayer album (except maybe Christ Illusion, like I said I've not heard it)
Bostaph has been playing thrash for nearly as long as Lombardo - you guys should check out Forbidden.

I know of Bostaph's other work, and he truely is one of the greats. But Dave is also my favorite drummer, so I'm a bit biased.
