I actually liked it on first listen, but on later listens the novelty of the funk wore off very quickly. Too many filler tracks for me.

Not that much filler for me.

Uplift Mofo funks much better than this

I've already expressed my views on the matter, so I won't repeat myself.
We're behind on those reviews btw. Has anyone submitted anything in the group?

"First 3 are all you need"
The first 3 are good (the Uplift specifically rules) but BSSM and OHM appeal to me more and give off a different vibe, so I can't agree.
Also I'd expect you to like Mother's Milk more Nero...

I'm thinking a 3.5 review for the debut, and maybe a 4 review for each of the next 2 albums. We need to get shit done though. I plan on releasing a Deep Purple review this weekend.
We also need to agree on whether or not to create a new user account to take credit for those reviews.

"We also need to agree on whether or not to create a new user account"
No, don't do that. Release it under your own screen name. People will care more about the review that way.

Mother's Milk is ok, but its the band moving away from what they do best.

Very well. Credits can be included in each review then.
Or the reviewer can include them after posting.

What are you guys up to?

Might bump my rating for this. Maybe. Album is pure fucking positive energy.

Their 80s albums have far more energy than this
