Same man, been doing my best to watch a horror movie every night with my roommate and/or brother this month. Just saw Honeymoon for the first time two nights ago, I thought it was awesome too - was surprised that it was getting shit on over at imdb.

ah fuck imdb on horror films. i've been on an 80s binge; night of the demons 2, demons & demons 2, night of the comet, night of the creeps, return of the living dead, fright night & fright night part 2, the blob, the 80s ruled
check out the blackcoat's daughter though, it's slow burn but it's delicious

Will watch it tonight, thanks for the rec! My favorite horror movie of the past year or so has been The Witch. Babadook, I loved except for the ending. It Follows, I loved except for the ending. Final Girls and Deathgasm were both really fun too.
Horror is my favorite genre, but it's sort of like being an Islanders fan. They never fucking win, but when they do it's time the best thing ever.

Also agree hard, 80s were by far the best - and all of those movies you mentioned are obvious classics

those movies are great. deathgasm was a little forced but i dug when they played immortal in the car. kiwi/aussie horrors have been great though; wyrmwood, housebound and what we do in the shadows are great comedy horrors, the tunnel and lake mungo are great straight horrors. final girls was fun but a bit sappy, but i've rewatched it a couple of times so there's that. it follows was fucking great, agreed about the ending though, got a little blue balled there. the witch was wicked, babadook i dont really remember
you're right on about what you said, most horror films are cheesy but when there's a really good one it's the best film you've ever seen

btw if you haven't yet seen what we do in the shadows you need to prioritize it, fully the funniest damn film i've ever seen
