Good review except this album at least deserves a 4 because the album is a stand alone in terms of diversity. Alot of metal bands sound the same, but SYL keeps things fresh and are faster and meaner than most bands out there.

There are some fantastic moments on this, and some pretty forgettable parts. It still keeps the SYL quality though.

Been singing Wrong Side all day, love how varied Devin's vocals are during that track

Great review. I've been meaning to get this. It was shocking to see it as featured album, considering the fact that it is Strapping Young Lad.

This is heaven to the ears of any SYL fan, or metal in general.

This is a terrific review. I've never really listened to much S.Y.L before but this seems to have opened a door for me. Thanks man.

This is an awesome album; it is definitely their most orchestral (read, melodic) album to date (although the brutal stuff was nice, especially "Far Beyond Metal"). Still, "Alien" and "City" were better.

I've been listening to this album more and more...it's growing on me. I think after Antiproduct, the quality of the songs starts to go downhill a bit, but it picks up again at Far Beyond Metal.

It's strange how addicted to this album I am, and the title track is pure evil. Bit of a lull in places, but enough typical Devin hooks to keep it going

Some of the songs on this album sound cut short and incomplete; they could've been great if Townshend would've taken the time to make them be. Still pretty cool, as is the band.

Excellent album, better than Alien but nowhere near the masterpiece of music that is City.

I didn't think Devin's vocals were that good this time around. I mean, he still sounded sick. I just thought there was more of a variety in albums like Alien and Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing. I love the drumming in The New Black though, especially at the end.

I liked the featured vocals from GWAR and Bif Naked. I personally thing their s/t is there best.
