George aand the crew"tore the roof off" in this classic album, that set the standard of many other funk bands to come.

I've been to several PFunk concerts, but NEVER saw THE MOTHERSHIP land! The late, great guitarist/singer Glenn Goins and the Funkiest Drummer on Earth Jerome"Bigfoot" Brailey left PFUNK to form "Quazar", a better FUNK band, before Glenn's untimely death of Hodgkin's Disease on

July 30, 1978. Glenn was only 24 years old.

oh youd better believe bootsy was on this album.....oooh yeah....getting sexy groovy on this album.....dirty uncut funk..........makin me all juicy.....and so forth into the night in a kind of barry white tone, whilst stroking a bass guitar in a sensual manner. great album. Funkentelechy Vs. the Placebo Syndrome is another good album to get into for those just entering the realm of parliament funk.

Great review for a great album, one of the best albums of all time! Bernie Worrel's piano and synth playing in "P-Funk" is so tasty- the only word to describe it! The stuff he does when fred wesley is doing his solo is just great! I also love GC's dialogue at about the 3min mark.

Props for reviewing something from an unpopular genre on the site. I think I've heard a song off this album, not my taste though so I can't comment Great review but I guess you've heard that a bit too much.

I saw Burst with Gojira in October and Linus was wearing this shirt, it has piqued my interest. Should I check this out?

I just realized that a decent portion of Dre's Chronic album rips off beats and grooves from this record.
