I think Louie Louie was the first punk song. Communication Breakdown was a bit protothrash though.

Led Zeppelin I is among my favorite debut albums of all time, up there with Are You Experienced and Black Sabbath. I once played How Many More Times with my band in a gig and the crowd went insane when that bass riff started.
