it's flawed but those flaws only make it more intriguing to me.

I've often felt this way about some albums so I know where you're coming from, even though I don't feel that way about this particular album.

do you think you'd enjoy this more if there were no (or better) vox? The music is amazing, I don't see how anyone could have qualms with it tbh. unless they dont like heavy music.

Yeah it probably would make a big difference for me if the vocals were better/different.

I find the slower bits to be really damn good (Blue Ghost is amazing blah blah) but the metal bits really bore me, the riffing in particular is zzzzzzz

I don't really have an issue with the vox though, they're not really great or anything but I think they sound pretty enough

theyre used pretty sparingly i think, the metal riffs. and they're good to bridge the gaps in between some of the cleaner spots. plus the guitar solos that pop up during them are fucking GODLY

i'm really falling for this band.

I think three, maybe four

You're probably right though, I was always a little mixed about this because I always found the "pretty" moments to be really incredible with the "heavy" bits uneven, but I remember it growing on me some before I just got side tracked with other stuff and forgot about this

This is indeed better than I had remembered. I still think the slower moments are the best by far though.

I'm prolly just gonna delete that interlude altogether tbh I start cringing every time I hear it

All in all tho, just got done listening again and yeah as I imagined this is a lot better than I remembered, 'Birth Pains of Astral Projection' and 'Girl with a Watering Can' are amazing
