map's just one chord sequence over and over it bores me to tears
nice production whatever
hoodoo might be second best, stuff musically unfolds on that tune

Great album. Need to revisit the rest of their stuff.

City and Knights are my favorites. The rest is either more of the same or worse compared to Absolution.

"City and Knights are my favorites. The rest is either more of the same or worse compared to Absolution."
wat dude. take a bow, supermassive, map, soldiers, assassin, exo, glorious, hoodoo (might as well name the rest of the fukin album) sound nothing like absolution.
absolution was more piano based and this ones a lot more electronic/synth oriented while still sounding like muse which is why its their last great album imo

I adore Map of the Problematique because of its simplicity and its production

Hoodoo might be Muse's finest hour (aside from Butterflies and Hurricanes, obviously). Wonderful track.

The last verse on hoodoo is the best Matt has ever written (which isn't saying much but it's a fantastic verse)

This album needs a remaster, the compression is hilariously noticeable and bad

yeah the denser songs like Take A Bow and Problematique sound so congested
