This is the best sounding album I have ever heard.

The production on it is outstanding. Maynard James Keenan's voice is at it's prime; loud and clear with no unnecessary effects. Paul D'Amour's bass work in it couldn't fit the tone of this album better, and Adam Jones lays down some awesome grooves. Danny Carey's drumming is on time with excellent fills and doesn't go off on any tangent.

There isn't a single weak song. Every song is perfect, and isn't too long or too short, with absolutely no filler. This album also has the most enigmatic and cleverly crafted hidden track I know of. Undertow was critical in establishing Tool where it is today. It was highly acclaimed when it was released, and it hasn't aged one day.

A perfect album.
