I just went onto this bands myspace page and was completely blown away by the song Bland Street Bloom. What an amazing band. Nice review by the way too!

Yeah, I agree. I loved it at first, but now I only occasionally listen to Bland Street Bloom.

That's why 5s shouldn't be handed out on the first listen.

My favourite track on here is probably Flogging the Horses - an amazingly technical and catchy song.

Closely followed by Bland Street Bloom and Sanguine Seas of Bigotry.

Dan Ford is a very underrated drummer.

Agreed. He has a very distinctive style.

The drumming at the end of Hold My Finger on Trees... is insane.

I decided to get this cd based on the review and was pleasantly surprised with how good it is... great instrumentals and vocals throughout the entire cd...

I'd rate this right up there with Mastodons Blood Mountain for the metal album of 2006 nd i bought both at the same time so it was natural for me to compare them. For pure originality and variety these guys are above and beyond most other metal bands around atm it's just a shame ther not very well known and they are as stated before, probably an aquired taste.

I finally got this. The music is good but it gets really old really quick.

this album is incredible... i've listened to it at least a couple times a week since it came out, and for the past couple months probably once or twice a day, and it's never gotten old.

good review whiskey... although i can't believe you didn't even mention "As the Earth Spins Round"... the solo / outro is amazing.
