I don't like Bruce singing Paul Dianno's songs.Bruce's versions of Prowler and Remember Tomorrow make
me wanna throw up.

live after death version is not better for the vocals, but for the instrumental aspect imo

that album was released at maiden's peak, just after powerslave, when their sound was perfected and quite improved from their beginnings

Yeah, Live After Death was released at Maiden's peak and still remains my favourite live album, but I really like the original versions with Dianno. I prefer this Phantom of the Opera version.
Nevertheless all post-Dianno songs are better in Live After Death.

Jamming this, it's easy to see how influential it was. Bands like Mercyful Fate, Megadeth, and maybe even Queensryche, all had a taste from this.

Dang, this feels far more awesome than when I heard it the first time, so much trvth.

"...and maybe even Queensryche, all had a taste from this".
The Ryche boys were always Maiden fans.
One of the most influential metal albums ever released.

Indeed, Notrap m/

There are Maiden-records I prefer to this, but this has an intimacy and rage the others don't
