Angel Dust is the one critically acclaimed so everybody on sput has to love it. This was their most successful disc sales wise, due to Epic getting a shit-ton of mtv space (back in the days..)
I actually even prefer "King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime" over "Angel Dust". AD has a lot more fillers (one could even say 'bad' songs.. Be Aggressive, RV..) than people are willing to admit.

"(one could even say 'bad' songs.. Be Aggressive, RV..)"
"Be Agressive" is one of my favorite Faith No More songs though especially since it has the best guitar solo on the entire album... and "RV" was actually my initial favorite due to how funny and different it is. At least you like "Land of Sunshine" ... I hope.
Honestly Angel Dust is just the best in my opinion.

RV was pretty hilarious, not what I'd call filler personally

definitely not filler, one of my favorites off that record

Dude. No fucking way Angel Dust has filler. I can see some people preferring this, like if they prefer poppier more straight forward metal, but all of Angel Dust is essential.

I like his voice here if I don't think of it as being Mike Patton, but Jesus Christ he got so much better.

There is more stuff here than appeals to my music taste than 'Angel Dust'. I find it excessively weird and/or uninteresting in some spots and there are a lot of songs to whom I feel quite indifferent.. I'm not saying it's a shitty disc eh, still a 3.5 (I don't give 5s so that's a lot)

the t/t on here is the best song they ever recorded

mmm T/T rules yea.
I can understand why ppl like this more than Angel Dust as it is much more straight forward musically and conceptually, but it is a pretty un-informed opinion.
This album and the preceding 2 are the building blocks for what the band was to become. Angel Dust is the coming to fruition of that potential. TRT has certain elements of the FNM identity in a more raw form (ie, the tribal beats and tongue in cheek lyrics and vocal delivery) but the music to be found on Angel Dust is much, MUCH more refined.

without overanalyzing, this record simply withstood the test of time better than Angel Dust (as great as that record is) over the last 20+ years or so.

Don't really agree with that statement, since neither really come off as "dated" in any sense,
this is simply a more consistent record while Angel Dust is more adventurous
