I have no idea what that was, to be honest. I blame the massive amounts of painkillers I was on.

In all seriousness though, get off your pedestal bud. This Message Edited On 07.24.06

I haven't heard this album yet.

Doesn't seem all that great, so I'll just download it.

Nice review

i dont care for this album but i dont hate it.

they just want out of victory records.

they are rereleasing the silent circus as another release.

i think victory messes with bands until they suck.

because the bands always come into the label great and usually end up a crappy hardcore band.

but i hope BTBAM is strong enough to come out of victory alive

^^ Agreed there TheMisterBungle. But IMO the only bands that went into Victory Records that weren't already crappy hardcore bands were BTBAM (of course), Sinai Beach, and Darkest Hour.

If you don't like a song by BTBAM then I really can only say that you haven't listened to it enough.

I honestly don't know what people are complaining about. They're fuckin perfectionists and that's why the songs are so much like the originals.

You've gotta give them credit for putting sweeps to little 15. lol. Laugh and quit being a douchebag.

Why are you people being so defensive. Its almost as if just because they love btbam.. they HAVE to love this cd. Im not saying its bad, its an enjoyable listen but stop "ordering" people to like this cd. Basically everyone who posted here agrees that btbam are amazing at writing their own music, no one is here to dispute that.

Its a cover cd, its recycled music. What reason do we have to want to listen to like 15 songs that we've probably heard before. Its a novelty at best.

I'm fine with it that they're just trying to get off victory though because that label signs some shitty acts (hawthorne) cough (heights) cough :-)

I think what this cd does very well is that it gives a new generation a way to get into music they may not have known about previously. They're all pretty much straightforward covers but done very well; there thats my view of this cd...

Uhhh. If you have never heard of Metallica or Pink Floyd, then you're probably of a generation from the 19th century.

Ya well didn't mean the whole cd, and i didnt mean people have never heard of certain bands; but this gives people a chance to get into the bands coming from a band they already know and love. Pantera, counting crows, blind melon, king crimson, even soundgarden. Plus its refreshing to hear something like bicycle race that many have heard before but still enjoy just as much. I dont agree with you that all of these are complete straightforward covers, they definately still feel like between the buried and me most of the time.

this kicks dillinger's attempt at a cover cd

I think I'll be doing a review for this, as this album deserves way more than a 2/5. BTBAM is just a really great band.

Their cover of Blackened is ace. The solo has been greatly improved.

Seriously, I'm surprised, I read these reviews way before I heard the cd. I'm listening to it right now and disagree with many of these posts. Some of the songs are pretty close to the orginal, but I can still feel it being BTBAM. Then some of the songs are not so close to the original. I think it's a great cd. Sure I would like another original cd, but they felt like doing a cover cd and I say "way to go."

I'm diggin it, just because I like most of the bands on here, and they keep it true to the original recordings while throwing in little twists that most people wouldn't notice on the first listen. And I'm surprised no one mentioned their killer cover of Malpractice, although seeing Dillinger play it with Mike Patton live is a bit better. 3.5/5

Digging: David Bowie - Blackstar
