I like this album a lot, but what always gets me is how repetitive and similar the songs they write in minor keys (mostly on this album, somewhat on other albums) seem to be. They always seem to have that 54321 thing going on, does that make sense to anyone or is it just me?

finally got this. it's pretty great sauce. it amazes me how consistent this band are. i can't say they have a song i don't like, but then again, it's hard to have a bad song when 99% of the stuff you write falls back on the same formula that works.

do the songs sound any different than they do on here? I usually don't check out demos for that reason unless it's the bands first demo

Weeeell, both Point/Counterpoint and Everything Went Numb are both at least two minutes shorter than the versions on EGN. It's actually pretty different. Everything has just this... Raw feeling to it. I love it.

I think I can safely say that in 30 years, I'll be able to listen to this and still love it.

I bought this album back in '03 when I heard the mastermind behind Keasbey Nights had started a new band.

It's been five long (Or maybe short? Time is a tricky thing) years and I still find myself listening to this album as frequently as anything else.

I feel the same will be true many years from now as well.
Definitely a classic, among the best I've heard.

album is severely overrated and repetitive but damn are those songs good when they are the standout tracks.

I didn't though this was that great when I first listened to it. Took me some plays to get the godliness, so listen to it a few more times and give it a bit of time.

Album is perfect. God would make this album if he were to make one.
