Track 1 : This Town

This song is fast paced, with catchy riffs, and its very upbeat. One of the best songs on the CD. 9/10

Track 2 : Generation Genocide

First single off of the cd. Great song with an awesome bass line. Starts out with a nice drum line, then bass and guitar come in. It's a solid intro to a great song. Slows down for the verse, but still upbeat. Best song on the CD, not by much though. 10/10.

Track 3 : The Story of '53

Starts out fast, sounds old-ish, then gets heavier. Details a story which occured in 1953, obviously. Another upbeat song, pretty good. Solo sounds good. 7.5/10.

Track 4 : Shop Floor

A simple song about the hours the vocalist/guitarist spent at his old job in a steel mill. Catchy riffs, fun to listen to. Another solid bass line, sound-wise. Song could be better, still great though. 8/10.

Track 5 : Crossfire

Slower song. Has a feeling of emo after about 15 seconds of the song. Still a decent song, more upbeat during the chorus. 6.5/10.

Track 6 : One Way Street

Fast intro, fast song. Cool sound to this song. It slows down a tad in the chorus, still a great beat though. Once again, solid bass line, sound-wise. Well done song. 8/10.

Track 7 : Violation

Starts out with a guitar/drum line, sounds cool, then to a bit of a bass solo with drum and guitar in the background. Slows down in verse, picks up in chorus. One of the heavier songs on the CD. 7.5/10.

Track 8 : Lessons

Starts out somewhat fast, then slow immediately to a mellow bass/drum line, guitar every so often. Intro to the chorus is good and smooth. Decent song, good flow. 7/10.

Track 9 : Interlude

Intro to Saturday Night, track 10. Sounds of someone walking in and playing guitar then singing a bit about heading out to a bar/restaurant. 55 awesome seconds, great intro to Saturday Night, works great, flows better. 10/10.

Track 10 : Saturday Night

The 2nd single off of this album. Upbeat, great feel. All I can say is that this song kicks major ***. 10/10.

Track 11 : Richmond Resurrection

Starts with a splash, then bass, and guitar afterwards. Sounds odd, works good. Fast song in pace. Verse again slows down, but picks up into the chorus. Another awesome song. 8.5/10.

Track 12 : Old Bones and Dirty

Drums and palm-muted guitar start out this song. Picks up with bass/drums and guitar afterwards. Verse again, is slower, sounds good. Picks up into chorus. Decent song. 7/10.

Track 13 : Hour Glass

Fast intro, keeps up fast as well. Another awesome bass line sound-wise. Good song. 8/10.

Track 14 : City Streets

Starts with drums, gets really fast.. REALLY FAST. Sick bass line. Doesn't sound the best, but another upbeat, fast-paced song. Fun to listen to. Chorus flows amazingly well. 8.5/10.

OVERALL :

Very good album. Not everyone can pick it up and give it a listen, but still great nonetheless. Some of the songs may sound a bit the same, but nothing is EXACT, or very close. It has minimal consistincies in how the songs sound.. if that makes sense.

Overall rating 4/5.

Pick it up if you can find it and if it's a reasonable price. Great cd.

I used to like Jersey, their older stuff is a lot better. They're from my town, so I've seen them live a couple times. I've only heard Generation Genocide off this album, and I can't stand it. I dislike it so much, that I don't even want to bother checking out the rest of the album.

I've only heard Generation genocide as well, and I also hate it.
I've heard they were in tour with Manson. They play very diferent styles of music, I don't know what they were doing together.
