I heard this once and unfortunately it was at a low volume so I didn't get to hear all the details but this is good. I would set it at a 3 for now.

It was around 3.5 on first listen for me with a low quality rip, but at 320 it's a different experience honestly.

Man, the vocals are so low effort. Can't believe i'm saying that about a Contortionist record.

this was a complete borefest for me, and I'm usually into this kinda of music.

I needed less ambience and repetitive themes and more riffs

^^^^ THIS hard.

If someone showed me this band for the first time and this were to be their first record I'd say is awesome, but somehow I find it to be kinda lazy for a Contortionist album... Slightly better than Language for me though.

I had this at 3.5, but I upped to 4 because that's how I'm listening to this album, a band's first release.

I've heard the first 3 or 4 songs so far and have yet to be enthused.

The vocals have always been kinda monotonous and lifeless imo. I always thought that was part of their gimmick.

Underwhelming for a Contortionist record but they do know how to compose great instrumentals.

On a technical level yeah they're proficient, but everything they do is "in one ear, out the other" imo

I just picked this up on vinyl and the download card gave me a 160kbps rip. Probably sound like a twat for saying this but really? You think I want 160kbps when I bought the vinyl? At least give me the choice on what quality to download. Fuckin annoying.

A few standout tracks, but ultimately fails to engage. Language had way more life in it.
