i think the white album might be my favourite tbh. i probably wouldn't have said that a year ago, but it just clicked in the last few months.
good night, honey pie, martha my dear, blackbird, happiness is a warm gun, while my guitar gently weeps, wild honey pie, back in the u.s.s.r., helter skeltor, revolution 1, revolution 9, etc. so many fantastic songs. 'good night' in particular i feel isn't as talked about as it should be. probably because most people get bored somewhere around the middle of the second disc and call it quits.

I agree that Rubber Soul, Revolver, The White Album and Abbey Road are all better than this - but it stills a fantastic album anyway. Especially, because of "A Day in the Life".

If my memory serves my true opinion right then this is their 3rd best....
Or 4th.
Fuck who cares...it's an album of essential listening either way.

I still claim this is the best but that's probably because it was the first I heard. Abbey road, this, revolver and rubber soul are probably all just equal.

They're all essential, yeah. I prefer Rubber Soul a bit less to the three following albums, but you can't deny its influence

Rubber Soul didn't influence me that much except for that one perfect song.

Nowhere Man, Girl and Michelle are all great songs from Rubber Soul

It's like on Top Chef when they get to the final four and start nit picking they type of lettuce they used. They are the only group I know of to have arguably 5 quintessential albums and this happens to be my number one. There isn't a single track on this album that I don't love. I love it all the way down to the song arrangement and even the cover art is iconic. The cover for Abbey Road and Revolver are pretty iconic as well but not at the level of Sgt. P.
