You Still Believe In Me? and Sanawon have gotta be among the btmi's best. Saw Jeff last week and he killed it as always.

Probably not the very worst band in the world but they're definitely in the bottom one or two

Three chord pop punk, gang vocals, evidence of 'zaniness'...I'd say they're pretty bad.

Ah, I thought Dookie was god tier in '94 and I loved 'Girls and Boys in America' in '06 so I'll let you all off with this.

Actually I just read the band name again and on second thoughts I can't forgive you.

turn on Leave or Die in Long Island for one second and tell me it fuckin sounds anything like Dookie or Hold Steady
i think a lot of ppl get their first taste of Bomb with Adults or Vacation and dont rlly hear anything subversive nor do they get what makes those records great (it's not obvious), so they write the band off completely. but records like Long Island or GCW really make you go "what the fuuuuuck" if you've never heard them before; even if you've heard some other synth heavy hardcore punk, those records are still strikingly unhinged. at least if you dont get that shit, it's not because you prematurely concluded that the band is generic bullshit but more likely because the music is not particularly digestible.

Reminder that all """""music"""""" from the genre of pop-"punk" is objectively the worst kind possible and all who like it are bumbling idiots with no taste /s

Gave it a spin - it sounded like someone had sped up the backing track then just lumped loads of gang vocals over the top. So awful it was near beyond comprehension but you're right - it didn't sound like The Hold Steady...unless you played it at double speed.

These types of vocals are probably the most obnoxious for me. I also detest pop punk mixed with ska.
