It would have been worsed if they rushed some poor mixes onto it.

'Jihad' is better than 'Cult'. And 'Cult' is awesome. 'Eyes of the Insane' is cool too.

'Cult' is one awesome song.I've liked most,if not all,the Slayer songs I've heard so far.Wish I could get an album(or all of 'em...or at least Reign in Blood,South of Heaven,Seasons in the Abyss, maybe Hell Awaits and Christ Illusion....maybe Divine Intervention as well).

South of Heaven will own your soul. Oh, and so will Reign in Blood, Christ Illusion Seasons in the Abyss, Show No Mercy, Hell Awaits, Divine Intervention, and a few songs off of Diabolus in Musica.

Not God Hates Us All, though. That album is pretty bad.

It has it's moments, just like Diabolus in Musica. The songs are either really good, or just boring (Good track = Disciple, Payback. Bad = Exile, Cast Down)

Seems like 'Payback' has awful lyrics. My friend is into Slayer and he talks about 'Payback' and says it says "Payback's a b*tch, motherf*cker!" He seems to like the song, though.

Ugh...yeah,those lyrics could have been written by an angsty 13 year old....

I wish I could get an album, but I don't quite think I could, due to all the PA labels and things on all the albums.Plus the one I found without the PA label has the title 'Hell Awaits' which sounds very uh...'devilish'.

Why do their older albums even have the PA label?Sure, they may talk about the occult and have violent themes, but a lot of their older stuff doesn't have that much cussing,if any.

I first heard of Slayer through Tipper Gore(who I hate)'s book 'Raising PG Kids in a X-Rated Society'(or something like that) at a library. She was talking about how awful Reign in Blood was...how "Angel of Death" glorified Nazism or something...all that stuff.'RIB' wasn't even out back then.It got pushed back or something because of all the controversy,I think.

Also, does anyone know why I went from 100+ ratings to just 6?It's the second time it's just reset my ratings back down to 0.I'll have a pretty high number(100+) and then it gets reset back down to 0.

I couldn't tell ya about the ratings, but you can just download the albums from albumbase.com and stuff. Just make an account and crap.

Yes, Payback has bad lyrics, but in an awesome way.

God Hates Us All is one of their best; ranks w the old albums. The intro builds so much intensity and then you're carried through twists, up and down, possessed for the next hour.

Christ Illusion just isn't as good. But it's not a disappointment by any means!
