yeah every single post on this website should be a critique that has been clearly meditated upon for months

not remotely what I am saying. there's a difference between good and bad criticism/feedback. saying I don't like something because it is bad is a nearly worthless critic while saying i don't like the songwriting, is hardly a better critic but at least its pointed in a direction other than just giving a vague critic of good vs. bad. which is absolutely worthless.

welcome to the internet
even if people do have reason they probably dont care enough to explain it most times to a bunch of strangers

I don't see how this needs any more explaining, really.
what's the opinion? Do not like.
What's the reason? because it's bad.
Yea, but why? because.it's.bad.

lol yeah it's just restating the opinion because nothing can be objectively bad
"I don't like it." "Why?" "Because I don't like it."
Essentially what that critique comes down to

exactly... why does this conversation keep popping up? there should be a FAQ:
'whay do i do when I don't like the opinion of someone on the site?'

seriously. on my first listen i was kind of surprised they moved away from the hyper-melodic first two albums but really this may be my favorite by them

saying I don't like something because it is bad is a nearly worthless critic [2] tbh. I mean music is entirely subjective and all, no one has an obligation to articulate why one dislikes or likes an album, and there are indeed some albums I dislike and I can't really articulate why or place my finger on it precisely, but a lack of articulation or a lack of an attempt to articulate why one dislikes a project is quite boring and (in a sense) worthless. If I dont like something I always try my best to listen to it or think about it until I can, thats half the fun and enjoyment of music and music discussion. Regardless, each to their own and all that jazz

yea, i don't think that way... there're times when you just want to express how let down you feel towards something you had some kind of hopes for and not explain why.
If someone doesn't like something you do and don't want to give no explanation about it, that's on you, man... Deal with it.

Eh fair enough man, you are entitled to, obviously, I'm not claiming that you need explain why, just that I wouldnt get much out of acting in such a way
