The opener sounds so much like a PJ Harvey song that it hinders my appreciation of what is actually a pretty good song.

Haven't listened to Feist since the Reminder so I guess I was expecting something similar to that but this is a pleasant surprise. Sparse and intimate. I feel like I'm not totally into it yet but it keeps me coming back to it. 'Any Party' is great. Nice write-up too.

It's decent but a bit too inoffensive, like most of her stuff. Metals remains my favorite work from her.

tmt found it plenty offensive

Just read that "review". It'd be nice if they actually talked about the music instead of criticizing Feist herself.

First time listening to feist, really liking the sound

I went into this looking forward to disliking it but it's stubbornly appealing

It's definitely my favourite of hers so far. More subtle, mature, reserved, and interesting than anything she's done before (or at least anything of hers that I've heard).
