I mean, it makes sense they made this album. They've been making adult contemporary rock since at least 2006. I actually think that expecting something more like their early records doesn't make sense at all.

Also, I actually enjoy various ballads they've made since 2006 that a lot of people seemed to hate. The singer's solo record wasn't that bad, either. It was just passable and pleasant.

With that being said, though. The stuff on this album that I've heard thus far, isn't that pleasant. It's more passable and irritating now instead of pleasant.

The justification of "we are growing old, we don't have the same energy as we used to" is bullshit.

It does make logical sense, they're living more comfortable lives now and it reflects in the music. I don't think it's true for ALL bands but I definitely think that it's not surprising.

Where have you been for the past 10 years? This should be expected at this point.

You know when an album is so horrible that it's fun to listen to and make fun of?

Yeah this isn't one of those times.

This album has atleast some good songs (and energy) compared to If Not Now, When?..

No Fun, Glitterbomb, Familiar Faces and Throw Out The Map are all good songs, even though nothing special.. the guitar work here is in some places pretty catchy and played with some passion.. Brandon on the other hand is without any energy, he just sounds tired and bored.. after Trust Fall EP I was expecting way, way more from them.. they seemed to headed in the right direction on that EP, but this album.. is just average.. bland

mike is doing some interesting stuff in places if you can actually hear it which skrillex barely lets you do

Stating the obvious for the hundredth time the production is abysmal. It was true relief each time a song and finally the whole thing was over. A strenuous and exhausting listen, among the worst I've ever experienced. This Skrillex guy has no fcking clue how to produce or mix an album.

The music itself is totally irrelevant and bland, an absolutely unnecessary album.

i feel like they're at a point where they think they can copy their light bill 300 times and publish it to become a best seller. I wrote a review on therecentlyadded.net and felt it was too harsh, but this definitely takes the cake!

Actually the producer was Dave Sardy not Skrillex, Skrillex helped the band on one song

Actually I think that's not correct, at least according to several online articles. Quote:

“In fact, he co-produced and mixed the entire album.“
