I think the problem is most of what Mastodon puts out is a fine listen, until you look at some of their best songs and remember what they've been capable of in the past.

Other than about 4 to 5 songs per every album of theirs that I end up loving, the only album I truly care about in full is CtS

However, this is the first album of theirs where I can't remember a single thing. Except Blow Yourself, since that's the only song people talk about lol

Was it just dull as dishwater, or actually gratingly bad? I'm expecting the former having heard 3 songs (provided Show Yourself is actually the worst song). I'll actually listen to this by the end of next week, I've set myself a deadline because otherwise I never will, haha.
