This is way better than any of the influences you listed (ok, I've always kinda had a sweet spot for The Black Parade, but that's about it). Maybe it's the fact that the guy's vocals aren't as annoyingly unpleasant as the singers in all of those bands. Funny how it works that way sometimes, because I'm sure you are right about those bands being of influence to them, I just don't hear it, this is more interesting.

This is a great debut, but no way is this better then any of the prime time output from bands like Alkaline Trio, AFI, MCR, Against Me!, and I would put The Menzingers easily above this.

Yeah, I have a pretty strong dislike for all of those, except MCR's The Black Parade (and even there its more about song like Mama, Cancer, Blood for me than any of the pop-punk bangers).
