The only reason I knew of them was cause one of my college roommates knew them personally.

Together we're 10% of their total fan-base.

And while I'm complaining about their business decisions, their chosen album art is ass and the artwork on the Stories vid should have been the album cover.

The only thing that isn't total ass about this band is the music, basically

Or instead of making more obscure comparisons you could just check Isis and Rosetta you scrub.
P.S. - The name GIANT is actually boss, it's just that they handled it poorly as they tend to do with everything. I mean "Song" wtf were they thinking?

Or I could just be me and not do that.

@FoS - First song is the least similar to the rest of the bunch. Second song is more indicative of the overall feel. Latter half of the album is heavily instrumental.

I'd rather be me than you, bitch

Don't hate cause I'm pretty.

it's aight. actually its solid but it meanders too much even for post-metal imo and when bands like isis and rosetta exist i can't justify giving this more than a 4

This is better than most Rosetta but not as good as Oceanic/Pan.
|

I like rosetta's first 2 better and In the absence of truth and CoL's 2nd and 3rd but Ill give another listen tomorrow

I could see the meandering criticism on initial listens but it flows nicely once you get familiar with it.

I guess you're aiming that mainly at Red Opus and The Shallow? Other three don't take long to build.

yeah i relistened it's a great album. It's just that i've become so jaded with pm after years of isis, rosetta and the like that most stuff in the genre fails to impress me unless it's fused with some other genre e.g Altar of Plagues last release, but i can still appreciate this just can't see myself listening to it very often.

commenting because I want to hear this and can't find it on Spotify. Good review! Pos
