Eh I'm almost always down for some keyboards in my metal tbh though they aren't necessary per se

I still really enjoy this album, but the title-track is so good that the rest of the album feels a little underwhelming by comparison.

Yea the t/t is a very obvious standout here

I don't think it's even in my top half, but that's not saying much considering my rating. The keyboard usage is one of the best aspects of this record, btw.

The title track is clearly one of the highlights, it's simple but so good

Agreed Evo, the keys are a big part of this record's personality. I wish they were used more and the guitar-oriented tracks are what hold the album back for me.

Nah, those were needed too. Can't go wrong with some good DT riffs and melodies.

It's good, but it's still very safe. There are some really string melodies and riffs on here. Pretty much what you'd expect from DT. But I want them to branch out now, and the bonus tracks showed the direction some of their future albums could take.

Man I've only just come up with an opinion on this album. Stanne hasn't sounded this good since Character (talking bout his growls obv). The lyrics are very catchy, and there's enough variety and atmosphere to keep things going. Another very very solid record, 4/5 for me, and that's more than I ever expected from this band since WatV, as I thought that was it for them. Also is it just me or is there a strong Character vibe here?

Yeah and Johan from Andromeda also helped out in Sundin's absence. Pretty hefty guitarists

Two absolutely stellar guitarists, but there was something that felt so off watching that lineup. Any idea where Sundin was for that show?
