Review Summary: The most mystical album ever.

What can I say about this album? A bunch of guys from Seattle wearing black robes and monks chanting along with some very loud guitars. Sunn O))) is named after their most preferred amplifier brand, and the music certainly shows some thespian-esque efforts to portray anguish and drum power in their music. Lead guitarist Stephen O'Malley was a dear friend of the late Kurt Cobain, and his influence shines throughout this very dark album. Picture a monk playing a guitar with one chord for 30 minutes on end with the speed of RuPaul on a snail and you have this album. It sounds like a refrigerator on wheels carrying ham and craft India Pale Ales with a side of vegan cheese. Playing an album in a social situation would have the ladies' vaginas rolling tide like the University of Alabama with the velocity of a velociraptor. Everybody else would just be confused or rather bored amongst a crowd where there is a party. Earth, Sun, Moon, and Fire collide to create the sound that is the buzz of Sunn O)))'s din. This album is highly recommended if you want a journey in to the dark carnival that is the underbelly of Seattle, Washington.
