Subway Song is one of the creepiest things I've heard in a long time.

This is a really impressive debut but something's definitely missing.
I can't help but compare it unfavorably to Unknown Pleasures.

The cure was not even a post punk band when they released this album they were in between an average punk band and some weird talking heads tribute band.

3IB isn't a celebrated classic, but it's a stronger record than Seventeen Seconds, The Top and Bloodflowers. 8.6 out of 10.

[2] but still the Cure albums I like the least (except the post-Wish stuff which I haven't properly heard because I can't bear the ugly ass mastering)

Bloodflowers is good. The others are not save a handful of songs.

Discog wip dig, this one first.
Always love this band, but only had & knows Kiss Me.... & some parts of Disintegration
back in the 80s.
Interesting debut album seeding the uniqueness of the band.
Impressive to think that it came out in 1979.
