The first effort has some of their best songs, (airwar is one my favorite songs ever) but I think (II) is the best overall. This and (III) while still great, just aren't quite the same level as those first two releases for me.

This album plays more like an EP to me. Pretty much only the singles feel like solid songs and not some kind of interludes.

I still like Amnesty, but it has disappointed me. It doesn't match up to the quality of CC I, II or III.

This album just comes off as Ethan trying to show the world he can do everything crystal castles has ever done in their career with or without Alice glass. Well he succeeds in that. The question is however, who the fuck cares?

Would have been better if they just moved on instead of Ethan just dressing Edith up as Alice Glass and making her his bitch while he desperately assembles a clusterfuck album showcasing the various styles Castles have gone through in their discography. It's not appealing.

There are a couple great songs here for sure I am not denying that but even those great songs just feel like less great versions of songs they've already done before. The last two tracks are the best examples of that.
