The vox are still layered, just nowhere near as much. You'll still hear several vocal tracks in places, usually a high and a low one or one played with a touch of delay on it.
And the cleans are very Corey-like but I can dig it, they are used sparingly.

This band is utterly horrible in every way. I saw them live and it was so hard to stifle my laughter.

Good on them for trying to do something different, even if that something different is really uninteresting and has been done before a million times.

If its been tried a million times its really not that different and theyve been changing their style since the s/t just not in a good way i feel (although that was a decent album)

I feel like the only one who enjoys Corey Taylor's cleans more than his screams (Snuff)

Snuff is probably my least favorite Slipknot song tbh

Its fine. Seriously, there are far, far worse bands out there. These guys at least sound unique given the genre. For me, it's their drummer that seals it. He shits all over most others that are playing this modern death-metal influenced hc sound. If you listen to their previous stuff they had little to no meshuggah sound now they have them.
