I have to downplay my rating to this, cant stand quality of the mix in this one. It could be greatest things in melodeath for some time, thanks to knob master, we have to enjoy 5/5 riffs in 2/5 mix. And please dont tell me metal should sound bad, this is clearly a faulty mix there.

no i agree, the mix isn't ideal. there's a moment where i KNOW we're supposed to here a huge, thunderous roar of the drums and the rhythm guitar at about 4:08 in 'withering strands' but you can barely feel the impact of it due to how brickwalled the mix is. the rhythm guitar barely has any impact and the drums feel so misplaced in the mix.
i can look past it because the music is absolutely superb but i would love a remix and remaster of this to better reflect the music.

lol I never noticed that part at 4:08 but yeah totally. It's like there's no room for that 808 to drop. This album is so great, but I still believe the vocalist has one of the worst growls in metal
