Awesome review! Couldn't even tell that English is not your first language at all. Definitely digging the album, though I wanna listen to it a few more times before settling on a score.

This bored me beyond belief. Sounds like a really shitty Mastodon record.

doesnt sound anything like a mastodon record, no matter how shitty it may or may not be. thats just a tired half-assed comparison someone who has heard like a grand total of mastodon, lamb of god, and slipknot would say.

if you want to hear a band that actually sounds like cookie cutter shitty mastodon records (like most mastodon records) listen to Black Wizard.

Nah Black Wizard is way more of a watered down Electric Wizard. I don't really think of Black Sabbath cover bands when I think Mastodon. Idk this shit just sounds like really half-assed sludge to me.

I like your last paragraph a lot, good work mate.
never really been huge on this band's studio work, I always find they're a bit too long at samey. liking that this one is under 45 mins.
about half way through this at the moment, enjoying it a bit. might have to revisit the older ones to see if my opinions are still the same.

Thanks Tempest! At first I wanted to this as a comparison to volcanology (geologist in me thought it would be a good idea) but it got technical too fast so I just kept the last paragraph for the comparison

Not to big of a fan of the last track. Seems really tacked on to me and just kinda flounders instead of having any emotional appeal. It would have been better just to end at "Low Lands."

I don't know, it made me feel peaceful which is nice after all the emotions you get while listening to the album.

Yeah why the hate on Mastodon? They're very good! Bought Blood Mountain a while ago, jamming it frequently.

Anybody know how to add the "à" instead of the question marks on the rev?
