"Nowhere else would you hear someone sing so desperately or passionately like Carl Wilson did on ”God Only Knows”, or relate to the jealousy, and the loneliness, of the narrator (Mike Love) on ”Here Today” and ”That’s Not Me”; or feel relieved, yet amazed...

Simon & Garfunkel? Bob Dylan?"

I'll be very honest with you, I've hardly ever got that from Dylan (Still need to delve into more of his stuff) and S&G, I've never heard yet. Their stuff is cheap to find so I figure I'll pick a few of their records up next chance I get.

I've delved deep into Dylan and S&G and no way do they compete with Pet Sounds on an emotional level. I mean maybe S&G got close with Bridge and Dylan later than that.

Well it's an interesting story but me dad has actually documented every recorded sound in history. He keeps them all stored down the bottom of the garden in the shed amongst the '70s editions of razzle.

I took it on myself to fly around the world and single handily force people to listen to the lot. China was painstaking. So many of 'em and they love to spit.

When I returned I found that I just wasn't made for these times was the one song that reached out to them all, except a few polish. They're just too damn hard to enjoy that girly shite.
