I think part of it is an era thing.

If you didn't grow up with Blue/Pinkerton, I wouldn't expect you to give much more than a casual shrug to this band.

So, Sowing, after reading all this glowing praise, how do you really feel about this record?

Haha, your justifiable exuberance aside, I always enjoy your reviews. They're not pretentious, just honest. Plus, I like that you take time to analyze and not plop two fat paragraphs that contain no substantial argument.

Thanks for all the review praise, keeps me motivated to write knowing that people take the time to read everything.

I know this particular piece probably comes across gushing, but I didn't know how else to write about it in an inspired way. Haven't been able to put the record down since I first heard it.

Awesome review, this album is really growing on me. Some songs I prefer over others but not a single tune here I don't like.

3rd favorite from them rn. Might even pass Blue with some time, though Pinkerton is absolutely untouchable.

I think most of the users who've commented so far agree that this can surpass either Blue or Pinkerton (whichever they rank #2), and that's kind of impressive.

It might just be the hype that came with the fact that Weezer escaped from flopping after EWBAITE, but who knows?

I heard that and it's okay. Glad it didn't make the cut to be honest.

All the singles from this album have finally pushed the Raditude single off the top 10 Weezer songs on Spotify. Moral 5 just for that.

lol

I know I rip Ratitude in my review but honestly even that's still enjoyable in stretches. It just doesn't feel like a Weezer album to me and that's my main beef with it.

Great review, Sowing. Some reviews on Sputnik sometimes feel like a chore for me to finish, but I loved reading yours the whole way through. I've listened to a couple of these singles and am super excited to listen to the whole record as I work on my thesis right now. Sounding great so far. EWBARITE was a fantastic return-to-form. Glad to hear that this continues that trend.
