Whoa. "Back In The Village" is the only track that bothers me a bit.

Dude, don't rate an album if you're not sure about the rating.

Good point.

Having said that, I still feel the same way about the 3 songs I disliked.

I enjoyed "Losfer Words" a bit more though, cool instrumental.

Jam another album and then return to this after 1 or 2 days. You will feel completely different when you'll jam it again.

I prob won't be jamming Maiden again for a couple of weeks after I have my fill, so I just wanted to revisit the classics and re-rate them.

In any case, I liked the album more now than when I heard it a few hours ago.

Flash of the Blade is underrated as hell, Maiden hasn't even played it live

I would prefer this over SSoaSS if it wasn't for the Rime of the Ancient Mariner... it's an awesome song, but not that great for a 14min song

What!? This album has some weak moments but Rime of the Ancient Mariner certainly isn't one of them. I would 5 this if the album's middle section wasn't so much weaker than the rest.

Yeah, the middle tracks are easily the weakest.
PoM has "Sun and Steel", TNotB has "Gangland", and
SSoaSS has "Can I Play With Madness".

Having said that, 80's Maiden is generally superior to
80's Priest. I haven't re-checked NPftD and FotD though,
they say those are very inconsistent.

Middle sections are weaker in somewhere in time or piece of mind
