Review Summary: A great album that had hardly any eyes layed on

Amaryllis was anticipated to be a huge flop for Shinedown's career. With Leave A Whisper, Us And Them, and The Sound Of Madness all being major commercial success, many thought this would be a giant step backwards. This is why not many bought this album. The problem is that you can't just not buy the next whatever only because the first was so great. Ignore snickers of doubters, but it's true. A lot of people bought Us And Them after Leave A Whisper. So anyways, back to the review, those who actually listen to this have a lot of praise to say about this record. With great songs like Bully, Unity, and Enemies, this album was just as great as their last three.

Adrenaline kicks off the album, which even went on to be the theme for the 2012 WWE's Extreme Rules. Soundwise and lyrically, this song is amazing. A great beat, great sound, and very well crafted lyrics. The record goes on with Bully, and it's interesting, because this is the first track we hear with heavier riffs and a more fierce voice from Brent Smith. However, this song doesn't offer really too much, with slowly progressive sounds and passable lyrics. Of course, it gets attention for being about bullies deserve pain and punishment, but their sould be more to it.

The problem with this album is that there are a couple songs on here like I'm Not Alright and My Name that take forever for you to actually enjoy them. I'm Not Alright has a weak intro, followed by forced sounds from Barry, Eric, and Zach. It's not choppy, no, but it sounds too forced. And of course, hook. This one of the very few Shinedown songs where all we can really like is the sounds, ignoring the lyrics.

On the bright side, there are some songs here like Unity, with amazing lyric writing and amazing sounds. Nothing goes wrong there. So overall, this album is excellent, but if a little more effort went into all the songs, this could have been a classic album, and, this will surprise perhaps all readers, better than Sound Of Madness. Sadly it isn't. Instead, it is just an underrated album that is claimed to have a hella errors, when there isn't.

"claimed to heave a hella errors"
This isn't a terrible first review by any means, but it needs work. You've got a bunch of run-on sentences and come across as way too informal at times. Your issues are mainly grammatical, though.

Honestly this band never exited beyond that acoustic cover of Simple Man for me. Really always considered them Creed with a less dick-headed lead singer.

"This is why not many bought this album. The problem is that you can't just not buy the next whatever only because the first was so great."

I guess what you were trying to say is that as an artist you cannot rely on your former output to make people picking up your new stuff? If that is the case you double neg'ed your wording.

"[Bully..] However, this song doesn't offer really too much, with slowly progressive sounds and passable lyrics."

You say it's an interesting song, but it doesn't offer enough. What were your expectations a/o hopes for the song to make it interesting? Considering SD is pretty much a mainstream-rock band, is "slowly progressive sounds" a bad thing? Give the reader some more information here and there.

Try to avoid informal phrases such as "So anyways, back to the review, those who actually listen to this have a lot of praise to say about this record."

The whole thing is your review, so you shouldn't need to "get back" to it.
Also the second part slightly implies your reader hasn't properly listened the album, cause he/she/it has a different opinion.

Next time, go for a more precise description, because words like "amazing, great" don't pick up the reader where it is needed.

Oh and grats on your first review!

I really used to love these guys, their first and third albums will always mean a lot to me. That being said, they kind of fell off here and got too safe.
