Appreciate it Crunchy one. Here's to 3 more.

If it wasn't already obvious, this will definitely be my last review for this year. The year-end last minute squeeze has begun.

@Davey
"basic mainstream pop" probably wasn't the best descriptor. I guess the rest of the tracks just seemed like run of the mill soul and contemporary R&B. But "Here" grew on me more and "Outlaws" is still great.

EP was nice in places but felt a bit bland to me so doubt I'll hear this.
Congrats on the milestone, I can't even imagine writing that many.

I love Robin Sparkles! I didn't know she was still making music.

Thanks Sinternet. And while I wouldn't necessarily call any of the EP tracks bland, I do think that she can push the envelope more without sacrificing accessibility a great deal. The potential is definitely there imo.

I don't know who Robin Sparkles is.

LOL kyle. It definitely is on 'Here'.

I think she will. She has good backing at the moment too... & is still very young.

I don't see how this is "a style all of her own" in any way whatsoever tbh

well i mean there is a broad spectrum in between sounding identical to everyone in the genre and sounding nothing like anyone which is what it sounds like you are saying, correct me if im wrong?

A number of artists could be singing these songs and we wouldn't second guess it which is why a style all of her own makes it sound like she's more distinctive than she is

Fair call on the wording. It was more a play on the battleship point. And there's always a touch of exaggeration in summaries. Considering most pop songs are fairly similar these days, I do think she is relatively distinctive. From her Sing speak style to her fairly clever lyrics.

she's relatively distinctive because of the humble, genuinely talented, authentic image she's acquired not the material she's releasing. She's not like Lorde whose music is actually distinctive. She's good at what she does though distinctive or not
