Well, I would suggest getting "One more step and you die" before "You Are There." There's a song on One more step called "Com" that's about 15 minutes long, and is about as close to a perfect Post-rock song as I've found. It's dark, ambient, and has a nice heavy buildup.

I definately like these guys more than most of the other Post-Rock bands, save Godspeed and maybe Mogwai.

This album murks around in depths of melancholy and horror that few instrumental bands outside of GYBE ever reach. It is slightly emotionally manipulative and predictable, but the musicianship is so astounding, the production so pristine, and the waves of sound so incredibly powerful, that it is really difficult for me to hate on this record. It was probably my favourite post-rock release of 2006.

For me, it all starts with that opening note on guitar...then you're off.

I got One Step More and Then You Die. I'm surprised nobody has reviewed it on here.

This is really good upon first listen. Doesn't drag on nearly as much as I thought it would. That's my main problem with the little post-rock I know.

This is without a doubt my favourite album of all time, I don't think there have been many moments in my life that have come close to seeing Yearning live (and then leaving the venue at about midnight into a snowy, deserted city centre). Some of their other albums don't have that much of a consistent sound or theme, or have songs I don't really listen to that much, but every song on this album is perfect and I could listen to it all day.
