Was afraid of this album due to it's length and the longs songs on Final Frontier were borderline monotonous. Ended up being absolutley floored. It has all the energy the last album lacked, the epicness of A Matter of Life and Death and the hooks that makes these guys so enjoyable. Best Iron Maiden record since Brave New World and one of the best metal albums of the year. From a 40 year old band, this is quite the accomplishment.

Saying it's the best since BNW isn't really much tbh but I do agree. The problem is newer Iron Maiden just dioesn't grab me as much

I still need to give that more listens, I heard it a bit when it came out and thought it was enjoyable but not great. Should probably revisit.

AMOLAD is definitely something special. A lot of people always point to Brave New World (which no doubt has something to do with the fact that it was their comeback), but they really nailed their 'newer' formula with Matter.

This is so good, I need a few listens to really digest it I think.

I don't like Bruce on this a lot. But the songs are better with more time spent listening to it properly
