Era of the xenotaph is a groove monster. They have a 17 track album planned for release late this year. But I just told you that in the Kronos thread hah

Yea I heard them. Really interesting direction they are taking. Conceptually it is reminding me of Spiritual Migration by Persefone which is a really good thing. November release is what I heard.

Just listened and I love the sound they're putting out. I can totally dig an album like that.

The new album is a completely different thing. Have you heard the 4 songs they have released from it? It takes it's time now, it's all proggy, and the production is more natural sounding. It seems slightly less heavy but more abstract. I'm really diggin what they are doing now but I kind of wish we got a conceptual follow up to Laniakea first with the same ultra tight, ultra fast style.

Yeah, new tracks are nice, but they're definitely slower. Better have a few speedy ones in there.
Honestly, not digging the album art either.

I hope so.
The album art sucks agreed. They would have been better off just sticking with the first picture they were using for the album. That one is actually pretty sweet.
Check out Virvum's new debut album if you haven't already. It's well composed, melodic stuff. I still like Laniakea more.

Been steadily releasing singles for their new album, sounding like a banger in the making.
