Well yeah, Bossanova is great but this one is quite better for me.

Holy shit that Happiness is a Warm Gun cover

Pod is a fabulous album. It has more in common with Slint (and the Pixies) than later V2 Breeders. Having Britt Walford on the drums and Albini involved ensured that this would be a lot harsher and challenging. The Beatles cover is inspired!

To me this is a far "deeper" album than anything the Deal sisters put out, it's got that post-rock/emo/industrial foundation, whereas the later Breeders were more "alternative rock," albeit of the highest quality.
