and you still complain about stuff for being 'radio rock'

i'm everywhere. also log is def radio rock, or more precisely radio metal
|
| |
well yeah i mean they aren't the most popular metal band out there but most of their songs are pretty radio-friendly
|
| |
sturm und drang?
more like stumpf und harndrang

"well yeah i mean they aren't the most popular metal band out there but most of their songs are pretty radio-friendly"
They're very popualr as far as metal goes (nearly 4 mil fb likes) so you're talking out of your ass again man!

Lamb of god is on sirius radio all the goddamn time and they play every single throughout their career.
|
| |
They're def not biggest, baddest metal band out there but it's pretty silly t ocall them radio metal when stuff like Steel Panther or even Attack Attack and their ilk exists

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and to Dev for taking mercy on my soul.
Solid is definitely the word I'd use to describe this, Lamb of God doing their thing and doing it well. Andrew's soundoff sums it up pretty well.
Lamb of God is pretty mainstream, but in the way that Machine Head or August Burns Red are mainstream. They're certainly not in the same tier of being radio friendly as B4MV or Avenged Sevenfold.

"They're very popualr as far as metal goes (nearly 4 mil fb likes) so you're talking out of your ass again man!"
i only meant the amount of radio airplay they get, not the amount of fb likes (although they are quite often dependent on each other)

So your argument is that they are radio metal but don't get much radio play?
|
| |
for me radio metal means the same as radio friendly metal, and log's songs are definitely radio friendly

so what?

"it's pretty silly t ocall them radio metal when stuff like Steel Panther ..."
Do the lyrics not impede their radio play? I would've thought so...

Oh yeah, good review Talons, very well written. Might check this and I do like LoG but a lot of their stuff sounds too similar to me, especially on live DVDs.

I was so hyped when I heard 512 and Overlord but overall the album felt repetitive... Probably a 3 or 3.5 for me

The only "metal" that gets played on the radio consistently (in the US, anyway) is stuff like 5FDP, BFMV, or A7X. I rarely hear even Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, or Megadeth played. Although I have actually heard Cannibal Corpse played on the radio at like 2AM.
I've never heard LoG played...they're not "radio friendly" unless you're comparing them to Suffocation or Dissection or something.

maiden, sabbath and some metallica gets played on the classic rock station around here. Along with stuff like Def Leppard and Crue.
I've actually heard Tool a few times on a station that plays mostly alt rock type stuff

Redneck was a huge commercial success on rock radio when Sacrament came out; apart from that I agree, they haven't had much success on the radio and get very little air time.
