I don't think so. Rammsteins lyrics are in german and a lot of them (especially in the later years) are about as atrocious. Also most germans understand english pretty well, even if we have about the worst accents in the world.

Yeah, has nothing to do with the german fans. After all there have been songs like Pussy, Benzin or Amerika already. He doesn't even speak English well, so I have no idea why they did this. I'd argue that Rammstein had their fair share of pretty great lyrics throughout their career, but even if I don't have much of a problem with the overtly simplistic rest it still gets difficult in english for numerous reasons.
