really in this situation there just is no joke and everything's shitty.

Exactly. Isis is a good, strong name for a band. It's a shame it's a bit...tainted for them ya know? It sucks.

im not worried about the band name as much as the fact that Isis is the coolest goddess of the coolest mythology and they are totally blasphemizing her name

I know. People just see the combination of letters "isis" and see at as a bad thing without even knowing what the actual isis means

The build up in the beginning of Wrists of Kings is intense. If there's one thing this band always gets right, it's the build ups.

I agree, the buildup on Weight is the best ever, but they all rule.

As a whole, Weight is definitely the best, but as far as build ups go, Syndic Calls takes it. Like wow it doesn't get any better than that. I really love the last three minutes of Garden Of Light too.

Oh definitely, Syndic Calls is my second and my favorite track on Panopticon. They're pretty much tied for me.
That drumming on the last three minutes also blows my mind.

I'd have to go with Altered Course for my favorite Isis build-up, that song is simply a masterclass on tension and release
