Gonna have to say that WR and this both have their perks in that regard but I do prefer this because of the atmosphere this has.

Holy Tears couldn't be any more perfect. That incredible riff at the crescendo is one of their best.

I don't dislike anything about this record. Rivers/Drops does drag a tiny bit at times but other than that it's smooth sailing.

And bananatossing thanks a lot bro.

I agree. I'm glad they fixed this with Oceanic in the 2014 remaster, wish this gets the same treatment.

Also, it's funny how he produced this and BM by Mastodon on the same year, yet they sound nothing alike.

Yeah and even Leviathan to Blood Mountain or Panopticon to this are huge leaps. I love his work.

From beginning to end I just see no flats anymore. Definitely their most under appreciated effort it's beautiful. Sucks that this is the band's least favorite :/

If you say the last 3-4 minutes of Garden Of Light doesn't bring a tear to your eye , I will say you are an emotionless, non-sensitive, robotic golem.

It's definitely one of the most emotional moments in their discography

It's either tears or goosebumps, depending on my prior mood.

Dulcinea gets me like that. That melody in the second half is perfect.
