I thoroughly enjoyed each second of this new album. the first thing i noticed on the first playthrough, they didn't curse all that much. i mean, i don't really care, but everything comes out alot cleaner and cursing really only detracts from a song..another thing i enjoyed from the album were the lyrics...living in sin, hollow, and others... overall, a great CD in my opinion. and i honestly don't see why so many people are cracking down on it, when they really don't have a reason to. but that's enough from me for now.

Well people are cracking down on it because it either doesnt satisfy them or they are not really listening. It is their opinion. But I do agree with you, onlyonerainyday, it is a great album.This Message Edited On 06.19.06

as a non-godsmack fan,i was a big fan of "the other side"...that being said,this is probably godsmacks best album but overall probably still average. i have yet to hear it,eventually i will....maybe just maybe i might buy it.

as far as mudvayne's "lost and found" it had potential but the songs we're too long...almost trying to be tool? i t just couldn't keep me into the songs...and the overdone songs lost me every time...i ended up stopping the album halfway through.

now godsmacks first three albums are complete trash. or maybe i just don't get it. they repeat like a bad stutter. "spiral" is a great song but not on awake,so until "the other side" you dont see that songs full potential...

I'm not a Godsmack fan, but you're not making much sense here...you reckon this is probably their best album, but you haven't heard it? And Spiral is on Awake, it's the last track.

i have to say that i love Godsmack but this album, the sound isnt a really soild sound like their others i dont know if they changed anything but it sounds airy to me
