haven't seen the vid but am picturing it as the generic 2000s Nickelback-esque music videos where they're playing in a field or a plateau or some shit

shit this comment section is full of people saying shit like "i love Imagine Dragons they don't need to use sex to sell recordzzz!!!1!" and I've heard this same thing from someone during my ENG 102 in attempts to justify why Imagine Dragons is good. I realize pop music does use sex a lot to sell, but not using sex to sell music shouldn't be considered some grand feat.

I Bet My Life sounds like a Lion King song

I've only heard these guys' singles but "It's Time" is the only one I can actually say I like. "Demons" is tolerable, "Radioactive" was tolerable until the radio beat the everliving fuck out of it, at which point all bets were off, "I Bet My Life" isn't very good, and "On Top of the World" is one of the worst/most annoying songs I've ever heard

nothing these guys have made is tolerable

Night Visions is a guilty pleasure of mine, but thats because the majority of the good and decent tracks came from their earlier, better stuff.
This is just terrible though.

If their multi-million-selling debut LP 'Night Visions' put Imagine Dragons into arenas, then follow-up 'Smoke + Mirrors' aims for stadiums. Co (& over-)produced by Alex Da Kid, the Las Vegas quartet are shamelessly bombastic & often very loud. Their want to experiment is both ambitious & admirable, but the genre-mashing usually comes off as too willing to please the masses, or simply disjointed. Many rhythms will suck you in, but the hooks here are just not up to their usual standard. It's always a concern when most of the 5 (guitar-driven) bonus tracks should have made the album! Recommended Tracks: I Bet My Life, Shots & Smoke and Mirrors.

Demons/It's Time/Radioactive were all good enough songs before they got overplayed. But the rest of Night Visions was weak and this is like Night Visions without any of the good songs.
